Meet Natasha

Staff
June 20, 2019

From snorkeling with sharks, to binge watching the gripping adventures on House of Cards, Natasha certainly doesn’t portray the stereotype of the boring bookkeeper. Over the past year and a half since Natasha joined our team as one of our bookkeepers, she has been known for her friendly smile and number-crunching prowess.

On any given workday, you’ll find Natasha reconciling client accounts to ensure their accuracy, while reviewing documents like cash receipts and invoices and updating accounting software for our clients. It doesn’t stop there though, being a savvy bookkeeper comes with fulfilling a wide range of other responsibilities. While these are simply too long to list, you can be sure of one thing, she’s always your go-to person for any Xero enquiries.

Natasha’s life doesn’t stop with Nexis though, there’s a whole sea of activities and interests outside of work that she loves diving headfirst into. We spoke to Natasha and discovered why “bookkeeper” certainly does not equal “boring”.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Both sky diving and shark diving.

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

I love a good drama or thriller, I’m currently watching Black Mirror, Stranger Things, House of Cards and Dynasty. Although, a little dose of Brooklyn 99 humour here and there certainly doesn’t hurt.

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Definitely a night owl. After all, there is no better time to binge-watch Netflix.

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?

In keeping to true night owl form, I’d love to go to the city that never sleeps, Las Vegas.

If you could be any animal, which would you be and why?

Although I may live for the drama on TV or adrenaline rush in my travels, believe it or not, I’m really more of a dove. I associate doves with peacemaking, always looking for the nonviolent solution, which I relate to since helping people is what I’m most passionate about.

If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?

Calm ocean colours are always the way to go. I’d be a Teal crayon.

Best accounting or business advice tip.

Help us to help you meet your deadlines. Respond to our emails and calls so that we can finalise your tax matters.

Which four individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most?

Leonardo da Vinci, Taylor Swift, Michelle Obama and Chris Hemsworth. Progressive future-thinking attitudes, to a range of varying artistic talents, to well, abs… What more could you want involved in a dream dinner conversation?
