Domenic has more than 19 years’ experience delivering a vast range of taxation and business advisory services to his clients throughout Canberra and the surrounding region. He says that building trust with his clients is an essential element of what he does as it allows for the creation of strategies and programs that assist with maximising business value and accomplishing set goals.
With a particular interest in technology for business, he is always looking closely at how it can assist Nexis and their clients to improve productivity and profitability. Domenic is also active in the mobile app space and has helped launch a number of apps, both in Australia and overseas. His involvement in apps has provided some of Nexis’ sophisticated investor clients with the opportunity to invest and provide seed funding for a number of global tech company launches.
“I don’t see myself as an accountant so much as a trusted advisor for my clients. This means I don’t just see them once a year to prepare their financial accountants and tax returns. I really enjoy developing the deep level of trust that enables me to assist and advise my clients to achieve financial freedom.”
Domenic became a Chartered Accountant in 1998 and, on the back of a dynamic career, co-founded Nexis in 2004 and advanced to become a Chartered Accountant fellow in 2013. He has a deep understanding of numbers and the value drivers behind business success, and he uses that to educate and empower clients to make the right business decisions.
Outside of work, Domenic loves nothing more than a simple barbecue with friends, and spending time with his family.

His practical technical knowledge, gained from experience, has been built on his extensive qualifications. Michael is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Tax Advisor, and holds degrees in Commerce and Law from the Australian National University.
“The best thing about being an accountant is being able to help people. Whether it is as simple as helping them to lodge their returns or helping them achieve their business goals, it is all very rewarding. The clients’ needs are always different, but at the end of the day being an accountant is all about relationships and the better the relationships with both clients and other professionals, the more enjoyable the work becomes. I also love being involved in the diverse and interesting businesses and transactions that my clients get involved with.”

Adam started his professional career working part-time at a boutique accounting firm in 2010. After stints working in various roles including for a Big 4 professional services firm as a national tax training facilitator, and as the internal AUS and NZ tax lead for a global IT consulting firm, Adam returned to his roots to work with small to medium enterprises and family-owned businesses, where he can see the direct and immediate impact he can have.
Adam has one piece of expert advice:
“Failing to plan is planning to fail – planning your key business decisions upfront can allow you flexibility of options, risk mitigation, and be much more cost effective in the long run, vs considering the impact of the decision after it has already been taken. So talk to your advisor first!”
