General Manager

We are looking to appoint a General Manager to join our leadership team and be a key part of our ambitious growth strategy. 

This brand new role will sit on our newly formed Executive Committee and reports directly to the owner-directors based in our Brisbane and Canberra offices. 

This is an opportunity for a proven COO (or 2IC to the COO) or Business Operations Manager to move into this high-impact, highly visible role.

A series of projects critical to our immediate growth await the GM’s commercially astute, all round skill set to scope and execute. 

You will have ideally led a team managing the key functions of HR, finance and BD / marketing, and will be comfortable with project and risk management. You will be highly analytical and able to demonstrate genuine commercial nous. 

This is a leadership role requiring high emotional intelligence with an ability to work with and through people at all levels to get things done and, as a pivotal role, attracts a competitive package including performance-based remuneration. 

This role is full-time and based in our Canberra office, with some travel to Brisbane – although four days per week may be considered. 

Candidates from an accounting practice (CA) background looking to downsize the firm they work for, whilst enhancing their impact and visibility would be particularly welcome to apply.

Bookkeeper (Canberra)

This is an opportunity for a proactive, professional and self-sufficient Bookkeeper to join our team and deliver a premium service to our valued clients.

Please note that this role is not an entry level role for an accountant. Solid client experience is required as detailed below.

About you:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience or currently studying a bookkeeping qualification with sound experience in a professional office environment dealing directly with clients
  • Sound knowledge of Xero and MYOB to that of an advanced level
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing payroll, PAYG and BAS
  • Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships
  • Highly organised with ability to manage the workload of multiple clients simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Professionally driven and client focused
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability
  • Exceptional IT skillset including the understanding of automation processes.

 

Bookkeeper / Junior Financial Accountant (Brisbane)

This is a great opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who is willing to grow their skillset and thrive in our diverse bookkeeping team.

Whilst predominantly a bookkeeper position, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on tax engagements and financial accounting engagements including secondments from time to time.

What your new role will involve:

  • Client management
  • Daily bookkeeping including journals, reconciliations, general ledger, AP and AR
  • End to end Payroll including superannuation, calculations, leave entitlements
  • ATO Compliance i.e BAS, TPAR, FBT
  • Individual state compliance i.e Payroll Tax, QBCC
  • App training and integration to clients
  • EOM Financial reporting
  • Financial administration

    About you:

    • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience or currently studying a bookkeeping qualification with sound experience in a professional office environment dealing directly with clients and/or experience in a tax or financial accounting role
    • High level of Xero and Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience
    • Demonstrated experience in preparing payroll, PAYG and BAS
    • Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships
    • Highly organised with ability to manage the workload of multiple clients simultaneously with minimal supervision
    • Professionally driven and client focused
    • Exceptional problem-solving ability
    • Exceptional IT skillset including the understanding of automation processes.
